<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently deodorize smell with a filler with a superior gas permeability and efficient water retaining properties by forming a packed layer of the filler consisting of a foamed resin molding prepared by integrally molding a foaming resin together with a hydrophilic inorganic particle in such a manner that the particle is stuck and exposed to the resin surface. SOLUTION: A filler 1 is prepared by integrating a matrix resin 2 foamed molding 3 and a hydrophilic inorganic particle 4 in such a manner that part of the particles is stuck and exposed to the surface of the molding, and the molding 3 is formed of a matrix resin 2 in which numerous fine closed cells 5 are dispersed to reduce the bulk specific gravity. In addition, a filled layer is formed of this filler 1 and is allowed to be afloat on the internal water layer of a treating tank. Further, a gas to be treated is introduced into the water layer at the bottom of the treating tank. The filler shows superior water permeability and water retaining properties, and also highly efficient microbe retaining performance and deodorizing capability.</p> |
