<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the thickness of an ionizing part thin while making the surface area of an electrode the same as the conventional by arranging an acicular electrode in the ionizing part in a oblique state to ventilation direction in an electric dust collector composed of the ionizing part of a front stage for ionizing the sucked dust and a dust collecting part of a post stage. SOLUTION: The electric dust collector is provided with the ionizing part 1 on the upper stage and the dust collecting part 2 on the lower part to the ventilation direction. The ionizing part 1 is provided with a broad ground electrode 3 and a narrow positive electrode 4 to the ventilation direction, each of which is inclined at 45 deg. from the ventilation direction Both electrodes 3, 4 have respectively discharge projections 5, 6 at the front ends and are folded in sectional circular state at the back ends. And the dust collecting part 2 is constructed by spirally winding the ground electrode 7 and the positive electrode 8. And the generation of danger due to the excess approach of the ionizing part 1 to the dust collecting part 2 is prevented by attaching insulating rib 9 between the ionizing part 1 and the dust collecting part 2 and supporting the back end of the ground electrode 3 in the ionizing part 1 with the insulating rib 9 to fix the position.</p> |
