<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a symmetric curl in relation to a curl, which is already generated, in the opposite direction so as to eliminate or reduce the curl by arranging a member for pressing a roller to a shaft, which is arranged in parallel with an elastic body of the roller. SOLUTION: A paper sheet 9, in which a downward projecting curl is generated in two sides thereof in parallel with the carrying direction 12 directed to a decurl mechanism, is carried between a roller 6 and a shaft 7. The shaft 7 pressure-contacts with the roller 6 with the sliding of bearings 5a, 5b. An elastic body of the roller 6 receives the pressure-contact of members 8a, 8b, which are made of the material harder than that of the elastic body part of the shaft 7, and deformed along the outer diameter shape. A paper sheet 9 is pressed by the elastic body part of the roller 6 and the members 8a, 8b of the shaft 7 so as to forcibly generate an upward projecting curl symmetrical in the opposite direction in relation to the condition before passing through the decurl mechanism. With this structure, curl of the paper sheet can be eliminated or reduced.</p> |
