PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-resistant metallic fiber sintered compact provided with good and stabilized mechanical properties under high-temp. atmospheric conditions. SOLUTION: This heat-resistant metallic fiber sintered compact consists of the fiber formed by turning the end face of a coil material obtained by rolling an Fe-Cr-Al-REM stainless steel thin sheet, the Fe-Cr-Al-REM stainless steel fibers 10 are accumulated and sintered. The fiber consists of the long fiber contg., by weight, 17-21% Cr, 2.5-6.5% Al, 0.02-0.25% REM and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities and having 10-170μm width and 7.5-180μm thickness. |
