<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the fray resistance and bending fatigue resistance of a core wire by preprocessing an unprocessed fiber cord so that the solid material stuck quantity of a specific compound becomes the prescribed quantity, and processing it with a specific resorcinolformalin-rubber latex(RFL) solution to set the porosity of the cord to the desired value. SOLUTION: A core wire 2 made of a cord constituted of aramide fibers and polypara-phenylene benzooxazole fibers as raw materials and having high strength and low ductility is buried in an adhesive rubber layer 3, and a compressed rubber layer 4 is provided on its lower side to form a V-ribbed belt 1. The compressed rubber layer 4 is provided with multiple ribs 7 having a nearly triangular cross section in the longitudinal direction of the belt 1, and canvas with rubber 5 is stuck on the surface of the belt 1. An unprocessed fiber cord is preprocessed so that the solid material stuck quantity of an isocyanate compound or an epoxy compound becomes 0.5-2.0wt.%, then it is processed with an RFL solution constituted of nitrile hydride rubber latex or NBR latex, and the porosity of the cord after processing is set to 0-1.5% to form the core wire 2.</p> |
