The turning wall (1) is of adequate strength and is a pull-proof sheet of rectangular shape. It is positioned between two opposing land structures (3) which limit laterally a water body which in its length direction is limited by the turning wall. The turning wall has in this connection at the front upper (4), crossways (5) and lower panels (6) extending crossways to its length direction for the formation of a self-adjusting U-formation lying on its side. The panels or sheets or membrane fields (4,5,6) evolve directly into each other and are integrally produced from a continuous piece of sheeting, preferably reinforced with glass fibre or aramid fibre.
