<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically carry out a work from supply to preparation of an exhaust pipe through only one worker by providing a transfer device to reciprocatingly move between a temporary setting base for an exhaust pipe supplied from an exhaust pipe storing rack and a preparation process section where parts are attached to the exhaust pipe. SOLUTION: In the case where it is required that parts for a catalyst device or the like are attached to an exhaust pipe sent out to the taking out region of an exhaust pipe storing rack 1, the truck 4b of a transfer device 4 moves to a preparating position, and after the attaching of the parts at the preparating position, moves to a temporary setting base 2 to load the exhaust pipe on the base 2. Then, a loading device 3 loads the exhaust pipe on a car body transfered through a hanger conveyor 5. Thus, a process from the exhaust pipe storing rack 1 to the loading onto the car body is entirely automatically carried out by the transfer device 4, the temporary setting base 2 and the loading device 3.</p> |
