PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag operation control device capable of blocking the expansion of the second air bag with an inexpensive means when a child seat is arranged backward on an automobile. SOLUTION: This automobile is provided with air bags 7, 10 arranged at the front section and/or on the rear side of the assistant's seat 4 of an instrument panel 5, inflators 13, 14 capable of filling gas into the air bags 7, 10, and a control means 30 controlling the ignition of the inflators 13, 14 when the collision detection signal is received. The control means 30 is constituted of a normally-opened contact point 31 turned on only when a child seat is arranged backward on the automobile on an assistant's seat 4 and/or on a rear seat 19 and a cutting means 32 preventing the inflators 13, 14 from being ignited when the normally-opened contact point 31 is turned on. |
