MULTICOLOR RECORDING MATERIAL AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform multicolor recording or full-color recording not generating not only the lowering of the max. developed color density caused by long-term preservation but also fog. SOLUTION: This recording material is constituted by providing a recording layer containing an optical color forming element and a recording layer containing a thermal color forming element and/or a thermal color erasing element. In this case, the optical color forming element is mixed by heat to form a latent image and this latent image forms a color by light and the thermal color forming element is reached with a leuco dye and a coupler to form a color and the thermal color erasing element loses a color by the reaction of coloring matter and a color erasing agent by heat.
