PREPARED UNSHAPED REFRACTORY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prepared unshaped refractory by which a refractory using vanadium slag is not abnormally expanded when in use and to furnish a prepared unshaped refractory having high corrosion resistance, excellent in economy and capable of being used even in the refining inhibiting the use of carbon. SOLUTION: A dispersant and a binder are added to 100wt.% main material consisting of 5-75wt.% vanadium slag as a by-product generated from the production process of an iron-vanadium alloy and consisting essentially of spinel (MgO.Al2 O3 ), 0.5-6wt.% amorphous silica fine powder having <=1.0μm average grain diameter and the balance refractory material.
