PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of an optical recording medium at a time of preservation under a high temp. and high humidity condition by laminating and forming a recording film, a dielectric film and a reflecting film on the surface of a substrate and adding Ag and O to the recording film as main components and adding an element M thereto as an auxiliary component. SOLUTION: A recording film 3 is formed on the surface of the substrate 2 of an optical recording medium 1 by a vapor growth method such as a sputtering method or a vapor deposition method. The recording film 3 contained Ag and O as main components so that the content of O is set to 10-40 atomic % and contains an element M (M is one of Sb, Pd, Pt and C) as an auxiliary component so that the content of the element M is set to 5 atomic % or less. A dielectric film 4 and a reflecting film 5 are laminated and formed on the recording film 3 and a protective film 6 is provided on the reflecting film 5. By this constitution, the durability of the optical recording medium 1 at a time of preservation under a high temp. and high humidity condition can be improved. |
