PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain sufficient recording sensitivity and recording characteristics by providing an org. coloring matter layer containing a specific dioxazine compd. on a substrate to perform recording and regeneration by laser beam having a wavelength within a specific range. SOLUTION: An org. coloring matter layer containing a dioxazine compd. represented by formula is provided on a substrate having a transparent material low in double refractive index such as polycarbonate or amorphous polyolefin and laser beam with a wavelength of 630-690nm is incident on the org. coloring matter layer on the side of the substrate so as to absorb laser beam to make the org. coloring matter layer easy to generate heat and, when the org. coloring matter layer reaches temp. exceeding main wt. reduction start temp., it is decomposed to fragments of a low mol.wt. to form recessed parts and, when the recessed parts are irradiated with regeneration light, reflectivity is lowered and the irradiated parts are detected as a recording part to perform recording and regeneration. By this constitution, sufficient recording sensitivity and recording characteristics can be obtained. |
