PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conformably load sheets loaded extending over two trays from the first one sheet so as to improve binding performance. SOLUTION: When the rear end of a sheet discharged to a tray 24 by means of a second discharge roller 32 and a movable discharge roller 33 is separated from a discharge conforming belt 19, the second discharge roller 32 is reversely rotated so as to carry the sheet on the upper face of a staple tray 38 in the direction of a rear end regulating member, and when the sheet reaches the discharge conforming belt 19, the movable discharge roller 33 is separated from the second discharge roller 32. The first one sheet is forcedly brought in contact with the rear end regulating member by the discharge conforming belt 19, and hence it is surely conformed with sheets from the second one.
