The machine consists of a storage carriage 1 carrying two blocks 2, 3 of foods which are sequentially cut into slices as the carriage moves towards a cutter 8. The slices are deposited on a slice of bread 7 coming from a store 6 provided with a slice lifter. The slice of bread with the slices of foods is transferred to a grill 11 with a lower plate 13 which can be moved with vertical movements. A second slice of bread 15 coming from a store 14 provided with a lifter is deposited on the first. Next, the plate 13 rises and lightly compresses the sandwich formed which, once heated, is impelled towards an outlet platform 18 with two hatches 23 and 26.
