The cover for protecting fruit trees in an orchard from bad weather employs protection nets (4) which rest on the tree foliage (5). Each row of trees in the orchard has a corresponding protection net placed directly on the trees' foliage. Each of the nets in a row is connected to the branches of the adjacent row of trees. The nets slope on each side of the row of trees and each net is connected by links (6). The net may alternatively be placed on a wire or cable, axial to the tree row, which is held between tree support stakes. The net then jackets each individual tree.
