The device includes a receiver which receives and verifies RF signals representing personal information for storage. The signals are transmitted by a management control centre and the information is directly written into memory as a function of information provided to the management centre by the user. The memory includes at least two different, distinct storage areas. An information transfer system transmits digital information with the information provided by the user including an indicator which designates one of the memory areas. The memory areas can be used for e.g. addresses and telephone numbers, and dates and times of meetings.
