A report used for market research purposes is compiled from packets of information, based on phone conversation and dialled number statistics, and on socio-demographic data. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The information accessed via a service menu is compiled from packets and supplied to the subscriber as a composite. The information process is characterised by the following : (a) packets of information are retrieved from a number of information sources ; (b) a first information source is compiled from one or more phone conversation or dialled number statistics, which have generated standard reports or conversation data files ; (c) the files and reports are extracted from each highlighted unit using an operator unit ; (d) the subscriber is supplied with the reports and/or files, or post code information is combined with socio-demographic variables to form basic data, in order to be able to carry out a sociodemographic analysis of the conversations made, based on the post codes, which is converted into a market statistics report for the subscriber ; (e) information in the market statistics report is analysed and supplemented with sociodemographic information (ie information on age, income, profession, purchasing patterns etc) ; (f) information concerning the phone conversations is added, showing the number of calls made per day, length of conversation, number of calls made in reply and conversation penetration ; and (g) sociodemographic variables used include lifestyle type over and under-representation, interests for the under-represented group, the possessions of the over and under-represented groups, media for the over and under-represented groups, conversation penetration and customer potential. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also provided for the system used to carry out this process. |
