The deflection signal generator of a television receiver is for improving video quality of TV receiver by using image signal processing time as scanning time. The deflection signal generator of a television receiver includes a synchronizing signal separator(33) for detecting a vertical synchronizing signal and a horizontal synchronizing signal from input composite image signal and outputting the signals to a deflection circuit(34) and a switch(35), a deflection circuit(34) for outputting vertical and horizontal deflection signals and phase shifted vertical and horizontal signals by reducing the frequency of the synchronizing signal output from the synchronizing signal separator(33), a switch(35) for removing feedback time of the vertical and horizontal deflection signals by selectively the vertical and horizontal deflection signals output from the deflection circuit(34) per synchronization by switching operation to the synchronizing signal output from the synchronizing signal separator(33), and a time shaft extending part(26) for extending the time shaft of an image signal output from an image processor as a compensation method for the removed feedback time of the vertical and horizontal deflection signals.
