Informative light with several meanings

The light has at least one lamp and at least one light circuit board which carries the information elements on at least one radiating surface. One or more light circuit boards, carrying information elements, are arranged in a sandwich construction, in front of a light body (1) with a surface light emission. This surface back lights the whole surface on which the information elements are located. The information elements on the circuit boards are represented by a surface structure, coating or engraving, such that the light fed into the circuit boards is deflected to the region of the elements. The light from outside the circuit boards is at least partly transmitted. At least one light source which is switched according to a requirement, is associated with each circuit board carrying a circuit. The sources emit light into at least one light entry edge of the respective circuit board. Preferably the light density of the light body (1) is less than that of the information elements by a factor of 5.
