Automated ceramic ware loading and unloading installation for multi-level pallet of firing kiln car

An installation for loading and unloading a firing pallet, mounted on a kiln car and having two overlying levels for the ware, has a horizontal transport device, which can move horizontally and vertically and which can be positioned between the levels so that the ware only lies on the transport device and can be moved horizontally, and a storage unit for the ware. The novelty is that a pallet and a storage unit are located immediately adjacent one another and transfer of the fired or green ware is effected directly between a level of the pallet and the storage unit by the transport device. Preferably, the storage unit also has two or more overlying levels which can be lifted and lowered.
