The invention concerns silicon-containing terpolymers containing as polymerized-in structural units: a) one or a plurality of olefinically unsaturated compounds each having one or a plurality of carboxyl groups and/or anhydride groups; b) one or a plurality of olefinically unsaturated esters of general formula (I) R<1>-COOR<2>, in which R<2> means an alkyl group with between 8 and 22 carbon atoms and R<1> means an alkenyl group with between 2 and 21 carbon atoms; and c) one or a plurality of olefinically unsaturated compounds each with a substituent containing a silicon atom. These compounds are suitable for stuffing leather.
