The free standing cupboard has a shelf frame and eight identical boxes which can be assembled to form a rectangle. A free space can be defined in the centre of the array of boxes which is smaller than the boxes themselves. The boxes and the shelf frame are not coupled together. This allows a wide range of three dimensional arrangements of the cupboard.
