In a clutch disc assembly 1 for a friction clutch, a hub 3 has internal teeth 4 for mounting on a shaft and external teeth 5 which mesh with internal teeth 7 of a main hub disc 6 with play therebetween, the main hub disc 6 lying between main cover plates 8, 9 which are fixed together, springs 13 being located in windows 11, 12 in the main hub disc 6 and the main cover plates 8, 9. An idling spring mechanism composed of a further hub disc 14 and a further cover plate 15 with helical springs 17 set in windows is provided between one of the main cover plates 8 and the further hub disc 14 and an annular member 19 is guided for radially resilient movement directly or indirectly on the main hub disc, the annular member being centred by a contoured region 20 for engaging a contoured region 21 of the hub 3 and being biased axially by a spring 29.
