The regulation device has a regulation circuit for regulating the exhaust feedback rate in dependence on the fresh air intake quantity, via a feedback valve (10) and a suction pipe pressure regulation circuit controlling a throttle (9) in the fresh air line. The required suction pipe pressure is calculated by combining a base value with an auxiliary value obtained by multiplying a suction pressure value dependent on the revs and the fresh air mass flow regulation difference with a factor dependent on the opening cross-section of the feedback valve.
