Practice artillery round

摘要

The artillery practice round (1), for medium to large calibre barrels, has a fuse (3) with a detonator for a token payload charge (7) as a marker on detonation at the target. A tube (4) passes through the interior of the shell casing (2), of a stable material, forming a ring zone (11) between it and the shell casing (2). The tube (4) is bonded in a shape fit at the fuse end. The other end of the tube (4) is bonded to the screw base (10) of the shell. The tube (4) has an opening at the fuse end, for the flash from the detonator to pass through to the token payload charge (7), which fills only part of the central tube (4).
