A packaging (1), particularly a box (2), for displaying and selling a physical audio and/or video recording medium, e.g. an optionally compact disc (3), an audio or video tape, a diskette and the like, is disclosed. The box includes closure and/or sealing means (4), means (5) separate from said medium, e.g. at least one integrated memory circuit containing at least part of the audio and/or video signals on said medium, a circuit including said integrated circuit, means (7) for reproducing the audio and/or video signals stored in said integrated circuit, circuit power supply means (8), and circuit control means (9) enabling said audio and/or video signals to be reproduced.
