The closing device for a vehicle boot lid includes a flap assembly (17,18). It has a spring flap set on a component (12) rigidly fixed to the baseplate (9) of the lock bolt (10). The flap assembly is formed by two opposing flaps (18,19) fixed with individual hinges on the component (12). The relative position of the lock bolt to the flap assembly remains unchanged even when the lock bolt has to be adjusted.
