The invention relates to new dithiazoldioxides of the general formula (I), in which R is hydrogen or optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl or alkinyl, and Ar is optionally substituted aryl. The invention also relates to a method for the preparation of said dithiazoldioxides and the use thereof to protect technical materials from microbial attack.
