Fuel powered heater, esp. motor vehicle heater with atmospheric evaporation burner

The heater (1) has a fuel line (2) between a combustion chamber (3) and a dispensing pump (4), whose suction line (10) can be connected to a fuel tank (5). A closure valve (6) in the fuel line is open during operation of the heater. The closure valve is arranged close to the inlet region of the combustion chamber. The closure valve can be integrated into the body (11) of the heating device. The on-off closure valve can be an electromagnetically operated magnetic valve (7) which is closed in the no-current state. Alternatively it can be a ball or disc pressure valve spring-loaded in the closed direction.
