The ink film guiding device of a color video printer is provided with a guide roller which is mounted on an edge of a thermal head and serves to wind an ink film, without having any jamming. The ink film guiding device of the color video printer comprises: a lever on which the thermal head is mounted and contacted with the ink film only during printing, to print the ink film supplied by thermal transferring; and the guide roller mounted on the end of the lever and having a center portion having a larger outer diameter than the both ends thereof, the guide roller being contacted with the ink film when the thermal head is in contact with the ink film, to thereby adjust the tension of the ink film.
