The thermometer has a curved capillary tube (K) supported by a similarly curved holder (H1) which has a bearing (G1,G2) at each end, for pivoting the first holder relative to a second holder (H2). The capillary tube cooperates with a temperature scale (SK) marked on both sides of the first holder, the second holder secured to a third holder (H3) via a ball-and-socket linkage, with a suction cup for securing the third holder to a flat surface.
