(Co)polycarbonates stabilised against gamma radiation

Polycarbonate moulding materials comprise :(A) 97.5 - 99.9 wt.% (co)polycarbonate ; and (B) 0.1 - 2.5 wt.% gamma -radiation stabiliser of formula R<1> -X-(CHR4)-Y-R2 (I), w.r.t. the sum of (A) and (B) : R1 - R3 = 1-36C alkyl, optionally substituted 7-18C arylalkyl or alkylaryl, or optionally substituted 6-18C aryl ; R4 = R1 or H ; X = CO, COO, SO, SO2, NR3 or single bond ; Y = X or S ; and n = 1 - 8, or 0 if R1 and R2 are benzyl groups and Y is a single bond.
