<p>The electrical cable [3] used to provide power to, for example, an electric motor [1] has a number of wire cores [3a] that are soldered to a terminal of the motor. The region around the point of cable connection is enclosed by a cover [12] that is in two main parts having half shell elements that locate together . Within the cover shells are sealing elements that fit around the cable at one end and have sealing strips that engage a slot [28] in the motor housing.
