A microcatheter for infusion, formed so that the front end portion of a shaft (2) comprises a porous tubular structure (3) not including a communication bore. This microcatheter can be inserted into a peripheral blood vessel along a guiding wire and/or on a blood current, and enables a contrast medium, a therapeutic material and a thrombolic material to be injected into a required part of a human body. <IMAGE>
