The vehicle (1) has a traction cable brake (6), which acts on one of the running wheels (2) of the vehicle to exert a brake force applied by a manually operated device (3). The braking force is transmitted by a spring movable brake component (7) to the running wheel. The traction cable (12) runs from the brake part to the manually operated device, and is inside a guide tube (13). The guide tube has one end (14) attached to a fixing point (5) on the vehicle and the other (15) to a support part (16), the position of which can be varied.
