A radar device for a vehicle, particularly a motor vehicle, is disclosed. The device comprises a monopulse antenna (6) connected to transmitting means (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) transmitting at least two substantially pure sinusoidal waves (F0+F1, F0+F2) and means (7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13) for detecting the phase and amplitude of the signal received over the sum channel ( SIGMA ) relative to the intermediate-frequency signals (F1, F2), and detecting the phase and amplitude of the signal received over the difference channel ( DELTA ) relative to at least one of the intermediate-frequency signals (F2). The device is useful as an alarm for warning of hazardous obstacles for motor vehicles. |
