<p>The invention relates to a process for optical transmission of a multiplex of electric carriers, in which an electric dissymmetrisation signal (D) is produced from the electric signal (A) corresponding to the said multiplex, the frequency spectrum of which dissymmetrisation signal lies within an unoccupied range situated in the low part of the frequency spectrum of the said multiplex of electric carriers, this electric dissymmetrisation signal (D) is added (4) to the electric signal (A) corresponding to the said multiplex which has already been delayed, and an optical source is power modulated (5) by the dissymmetric electric signal (E) thus obtained.
