PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily select dispersion by which bunching effect can be obtained even when a light source or optical fiber is switched. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with an LN modulator 2 which has electrooptic effect, a light source 3 which supplies laser light to the LN modulator 2, and an LN modulator driver 4 which receives a specific input signal, applies an electric field based upon it to the LN modulator 2, and modulates laser light according to the electrooptic effect. The device is equipped with a switching part 5 consisting of an EXOR circuit 51 which switches the inversion and noninversion of the signal logic of the input signal and a switch 52 which switches bias voltages Va and Vb to the electric field applied to the LN modulator 2 according to the inversion and noninversion of the signal logic. |
