PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a receiving side to reduce the adverse effect of fading in a direct spread spectrum (DS-SS) communication system. SOLUTION: A receiver introduces the group of different weight to the segment of each reception signal to give diversity at the receiver. The receiver is provided with M-number of antennas and each antenna receives an information signal from a transmitter. Each information signal received by each of the M-number of antennas is added with each different phase shift. These phase shifts are M-number of different phase shifts between zero and 2π. When M is 2, e.g. the phase shift is switched between zero andπ. By the phase shift added to the reception signal, a signal vector led out from each of the M-number of reception antennas is added so as to intensify each other in a prescribed period. The addition of the signal vectors intensifying each other gives diversity at the receiver. |
