FIELD: antenna equipment. SUBSTANCE: satellite receiver 17 for digital coded television signals has device generating signal indicating precise orientation of receiving antenna 7 which responds to number of errors in digital coded television signals. Antenna orientation signal has form of audio signal sent to sound reproducing device 23 connected to satellite receiver 17. Audio signal corresponds to uninterrupted tone if number of errors is less than threshold value designating possibility of correction of errors preset in advance. Angle of elevation of antenna 7 is sot in agreement with geographical location where reception is conducted. After this azimuth of antenna is regulated coarsely by turn of antenna with small increments to determine region in which uninterrupted signal sounds. During this coarse regulation tuner 317 of satellite receiver 17 tries to determine tuning frequency on which demodulation and correction of errors are possible. If corresponding frequency is not detected after search in proper frequency range short-time sound signal is generated. This short-time sound signal prompts the user that it will be necessary to turn antenna through small angle again. When uninterrupted signal sounds procedure of fine tuning is started. During it antenna 7 is turned to find boundaries of arc of azimuth in which uninterrupted sound signal is reproduced. After this antenna is set approximately to the middle between two boundaries of arc. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of device and method.
