<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a square type electric water heater which is simple in constitution and which at the time of actual use enables drawing off water, etc., without waste, not to mention practicality by checking in a sure manner even in case of an emergency. SOLUTION: This square type electric water heater 200 has a tank containing a heater which is heated by electricity, a water-discharging emergency valve on the outer side of the tank, and a square type cover 240 enclosing the water- discharging emergency valve and the tank. A small door 241 is provided at a part of the square type cover 240, opposed to the water-discharging emergency valve. To the back side of the small door 241 the forward end of the water- discharging hose on the side of the water-discharging emergency valve is connected and, when the small door 241 is opened, the forward end of the water- discharging hose is exposed outside the square type cover 240.</p> |
