PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the total working time at the time of continuously working many works in a parallel seam joining work by bringing one pair of roller electrodes into press contact with both ends of the materials to be joined (work) and allowing current to flow through them. SOLUTION: A joining head 3 provided with a mechanism for supporting the roller electrodes 301, 331 through springs 321, 351 to set the interval between electrodes, is provided. In this joining head 3, Z-axis elevating/lowering mechanism 5, X-axis moving mechanism 8 and Y-axis advancing/retreating mechanism 9 are arranged in order and each directional position is fixed. The work 2 is placed on a table 6 through a pallet 4 and turned by a table turning mechanism control part 7. The arrangement of each work is half-buried as an orthogonal coordinates state on the pallet 4. In the Y-axis direction, the joining work is executed in a state that the roller electrode is lowered. At each transition period between the works, the outer edge of the roller electrode rolls over the surface of the pallet, and when the roller electrode comes to the succeeding work, the roller electrode is raised at a little height to start the joining work. |
