TWO-PACK CASTING POLYURETHANE ELASTOMER COMPOSITION AND PREPARATION OF POLYURETHANE ELASTOMER USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a two-pack casting polyurethane compsn. which can provide an elastomer having excellent physical strength by using a particular compd. as a polyisocyanate for an NCO-terminal prepolymer and as a polyol for this prepolymer and a long-chain polyol. SOLUTION: A two-pack casting polyurethane elastomer compsn. comprising a mixture of (A) an NCO-terminal prepolymer with (B) a long-chain polyol, a short-chain glycol, and a short-chain triol. A hexamethylene diisocyanate-based polyisocyanate is used as a polyisocyanate for the NCO-terminal prepolymer. A combination of a polycarbonate polyol with a polycaprolactone polyol, and/or a poly(carbonate caprolactone) polyol is used as a polyol for this prepolymer and a long-chain polyol for the component (B).
