PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase harmonic current absorption capability by connecting a load with a parallel circuit of a first coil connected to a power source and a second coil connected to a capacitor. SOLUTION: A parallel circuit of a first coil 2 and a second coil 3 in an annular magnetic circuit 1 of a reactor 7 is connected to a load 4. The first coil 2 is connected in sieries with a power source 5, while the second coil 3 is connected in series with a capacitor 6, so as to form a harmonic current absorber having a resonance frequency, f01 =1/2π (4L+Ls )C}<-1/2> , equivalent to the frequency of a harmonic frequency appearing from the load 4, where L is inductance of the first and second coils 2 and 3, LS is inductance of the power source 5, and C is capacitance of the capacitor 6. The current absorber effectively absorbs undesired harmonic currents flowing in the power source. |
