PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device by which a car of an elevator stops by slowly lowering at safe speed by applying dynamic braking by stronger braking force when supply of electric power is gone by power failure or the like. SOLUTION: When electric power cannot be supplied to primary side armature coils 22 to 29, though a car 2 is going to fall by losing thrust, individual short-circuiting contact points 40 to 47 are arranged to individually short-circuit mutual terminals T1 to T10 of the armature coils 22 to 29 in a length shorter than an armature length excited at ordinary operation time, and dynamic braking is applied by moving permanent magnets 3a and 3b to constitute a field system 3 arranged in the car 2, and the car 2 is stopped by slowly lowering it at safe speed. |
