PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent clogging by calculating a discharge time on the basis of the discharge characteristic data of a condensing element and recording the time from a point of time when the condensing element is charged to a point of time when cleaning is performed and controlling the cleaning immediately after a power supply is closed corresponding to the calculation result of a ink non-emitting time. SOLUTION: One end of a condenser 2-8 is inputted to the analogue input terminal A/DIN of a CPU 2-3 and the voltage change of the condenser 2-8 is converted to a digital value to calculate an elapse time. When the power supply of a printer is turned ON, the CPU 2-3 reads the voltage of the condenser 2-8 to calculate the elapse time after the charge of a CR circuit. Next, an elapse time is calculated on the basis of given time data and the optimum cleaning operation is executed when the power supply is closed. The CPU reads the voltage of the condenser 2-8 at a time of non-printing to record the elapse time on a non-volatile memory. By this constitution, accurate time control can be performed and the optimum cleaning can be performed when the power supply is closed. |
