FIELD: devices for gathering spilled oil. SUBSTANCE: belt is made from flexible wavy strips coupled together forming cells whose surface is wettable with liquid to be gathered. Device moves belt in compressed state by means of drive drums. Cells are filled with liquid at section of entrapping the petroleum products where belt is expanded due to elasticity of strips forming, i.e. at increase of volume of cells. After entrapping section, belt is compressed forcing the liquid out of cells and taking the position required for motion and preparation for entrapping next portion of petroleum products. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
