PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC motor which does not require a position detecting element and can optimize the phase of the current waveform of a stator winding. SOLUTION: In this motor, the rotation of a permanent-magnet rotor 101 is detected with a frequency generator 102, and the rotating direction is detected in a direction detector 105. An operator 106 outputs position signals p1, p2 and p3 in correspondence with the rotating positions of the permanent-magnet rotor 101. A power supply 110 supplies the power corresponding to the position signal and rotates and drives the permanent-magnet rotor 101. The operator 106 includes the position adjusting part, which adjusts the rotating phase so that the rotating phases of the permanent-magnet rotor 101 and the position signals have the specified relationship. |
