PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing sludge capable of efficiently removing the sludge at a low equipment cost and running cost. SOLUTION: While a stage for treating night soil and the sludge of a septic tank by a biological method is operated continuously for the whole day, a pretreating stage is intermittently operated only in the daytime. Namely, the operation of putting the original liquid subjected to removal of extraneous matter into a cyclone 8 and executing sepn. work, then feeding a concd. liquid contg. fine sand flowing out of the lower part of this liquid cyclone 8 to a gravity type dehydrating machine 9 and removing the fine sand with this gravity dehydrating machine 9 is only in the daytime. The operation is stopped in the nighttime, but the gravity type dehydrating machine 9 is held rested in the state of capturing the fine sand. The dehydration of the sludge progresses and the operation of the pretreating stage is restarted after the dehydrated fine sand is removed next day. |
