PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable compressing processing optimum for the picture quality of image as a processing object without losing any information by image compression. SOLUTION: Usually, average value calculation compressing processing is adopted but based on the image of mail displayed on an image monitor 17, a front operating part 3 selects maximum value extraction compressing processing for a little brushed pale image, minimum value compressing processing for a little crushed deep image or thinning compressing processing for the bar code of a little blurred contour. Further, when the mail represents specified enterprise, the correspondent enterprise is selected out of the front operating part 3 so that compressing processing optimum for the image of mail of that specified enterprise registered in advance can be selected. |
